ohhhhh dammmmnnnnn! love that intro man! LOVE LOVE LOVE the leads picked for this!!! awesome song that is definitely being added to my favorites. This type of work is hard to come by on Newgrounds. Consider it an honor that I am doing that, hahahha. Anyways, getting back to the review, perhaps finish this the way you want to and then make a re-release that has an awesome drum beat on it too. Feels like its missing a drum beat, but hey, I like it! awesome work man!!!

Cebster responds:

I am honored! ;)

Really like the intro! however, I did not really enjoy the part where it randomly sped up... and then slew back down... could have been WAYYYY better if you had not done that. That is the only major downfall. Only one more small part, no bass man! WHY!? hahaha I cant say I mind that. With those two factors aside, nice job! btw, shes built like a steak house but she handles like a bistro! hahhaha

I'd like to begin by saying the intro was pretty damn good and that I like the bass! Loved the beat and the snare you used. Like the guy below me, I also like the part at 0:58. Not much else to say for such a short song.

Wilhiemthe2nd responds:

I like the snare too, I think i use it again with Reverb next time, and try to recreate Dream Theater's Snare in their Images and Words Ablum. XD

Thank you very much, looking back on this, I think i will have the chords the organ plays go on for 4 more measures, that should improve on that awesome moment.

Thank you very much!~

WOW! That guitar man, loved it! Did you keep the beat and all the same or did you switch it up from the original? I love how you changed up the notes of the main melody for the guitar, awesome work man! Much appreciation! Keep up the great work!

HenryX responds:

thanks! :D

i'm so glad with your comment and i'm very happy if you enjoyed the "funky" rythm (believe me, it's not easy), and yeah, al beats are like the original (i dont remember if i boosted a little the first part).

Very relaxing! I dont normally like Indy music, but I will make an exception for this song, haha. Definitely love the beat of the drums and the chords played by the guitar, very entrancing! Great job, amazing demo.

Cruzaflo responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I decided to use some basic jazz chords in a non-jazz style.

Loved the intro! The vocals in the beginning was amazing! That chorus is so addicting! Love the lyrics and they go straight to the heart! If this is the demo, I cannot wait for the finished product!!! Be sure to message me when you release it, ok? hahaha. Anyways, for being a demo, the length was great! btw, what is Seurat?

alcatraz5 responds:

George Seurat, Painted With Dots! It was an old pneumonic device we learned in school about a painter named George Seurat, who only painted compositions dot by dot until they were finished. Thanks for the review. :)

Dont necessarily like the beginning but hey, its not too bad. I like the beat but what I like the most is the instruments! Definitely beautiful! I have one thing to complain about, and thats the quality. When you export a song in FL, make sure you have the highest bitrate/dithering possible. it will take awhile longer to export but the quality is worth it. Not sure if you knew this already but I thought if you didnt it would be a great tip. All in all, the length of the song was perfect and the overall atmosphere of the song was great! Awesome song!

foreveryoung30912 responds:

Thanx for the tip, but it's telling me that I cannot open mp3 encoding stream

Double You-Tea-Eff means "W-T-F", hahaha. anyways, awesome song! brings back memories of my childhood playing this game. I really have to play it again! Love your set of instruments. some would complain that it sounds too much like the original, but I like the fact that it does. again, great job!

stunkel responds:

Thanks! Glad you liked it! I actually made this for someones animation so I didn't want to break too far from it. Thanks for the review though!

Head banging greatness. That's all I have to say. Not really. I loved the high pitched guitars, it mixed well with the effect of the song. I could really listen to your music if you added lyrics to all of them. So, why don't you?

Lublub194 responds:

I want to add lyrics to my next album, but I'm having writers block. besides I don't really have a singing voice. At least I don't feel as I do, anyways, someday when I do put lyrics on a song, I'll let you know.

pretty damn good, only flaw is the quality of the mic. Everything else is perfect. I'm sitting here trying to compare this to a band, but I really can't compare it to anything. I suppose that's a good thing considering originality is a key thing. A+ work, and I've got to say, I really do like the lyrics to this song and the progression of the guitar was great. Keep up the work, btw have you ever thought of naming the song Lub What Once Was Lub (Love What Once Was Love)? hahaha, I can't believe I just thought of that, that's a great title. Not to keep dragging this on, but this is a definite download for me and idk the last time I downloaded a song off of newgrounds. I love it. You know what, perhaps the mic isn't so low quality, so I'm not going to take off anything for that. 5/5

Lublub194 responds:

Hey man! Thanks for the review! I don't usually get creative ideas for lyrics, but this time I had good inspiration. I always appreciate your reviews!

For over a decade, music has been my passion. I've been on Newgrounds since I was 5. That's nearly 20 years! I'll always remember this place as where it all began.
