What program did you use to make this? and was it easy? dude you have no idea how long I have been dinking around trying to find the right way to make dubstep...

anyways, I like it, but it is way too short. The bass could have been extended. Amazing quality however. It seems a lot of your projects are extremely short nowadays. Whats up with that?

4.5/5 because I would've liked it to be longer.

Lublub194 responds:

I used reason as always. Honestly, the only way to make a decent dubstep patch is to experiment. Tweak modulations, resonance, frequency, lfo's, etc. Just take your time working on it.

The reason everything I've been putting out has been so short, is because I've not been making as much anyways. Gotta work, gotta pay bills. So I've been branching out when I can to try and make new stuff.

Always appreciate the reviews good sir :)

Sick intro! I was expecting it just to be an acapella, but then the metal came in and it was pure awesomeness. Are you going to extend this at all?

Oh my god... that's all I have to say. Not really, haha. I really am speechless, this is great man. If I were to compare my first project ever to this, this song would be the best song in the nation. Well enough over exaggeration. I love the instruments picked out for this. I can see that this truly does need to be mastered. I'm not going to complain though... this song almost makes me want to cry because of how long it has taken me to release a song with this much potential, and you already gave a song a ton of potential just on your first project. You have opened my eyes to see that the program you mentioned is amazing. This piece is great and I cannot wait to hear the finished/mastered bit.

nicely done

dont know what i should say other than extend it, and that i love the intro and the bass. awesome job

You know,

Ive got to say that i never actually enjoyed this song because it didn't have a guitar like the other ones. Im not going to vote down on it just because of that though. Everything in this is onbeat with the original. If i did say so, this is way better than the original. the bass made my headphones vibrate off of my head, not really, but lets just go with that, haha.

hahha

I like how you comment on the pads going like "plunk plunk." I love the mood of the song, it gives it a dark feeling. You are right, this would be good for a slow moving game, or the pause screen. Great job, keep up the good work.

Haha! That's fantastic! Thank you for your kind words and positive feedback. This is the first thing i've put up here since... well.. the "crap" era of my music. NG was my portal for random shit I wanted to put up for fun. My soundcloud has a majority of my "music", and this is so off for me, but it sounds pretty peaceful and game-like.

To be honest,

When I first heard it, I was like, "Alright, this guy just got the MP3 of the original and put it on Newgrounds." Thinking this, I listened to the original on youtube and noticed that in the original, you can barely hear the snares. Next time, try not to make the remake sound so much like the original, people will think you copied it. I will not rate you down for this though because that is my opinion. Getting to the song, great work, everything from the intro, to the ocarina, to the synths, and the drum line is all in tune. You have everything put in perfectly. Nice job, man.

Thanks for the feedback!

First of all

the first synth is cool, but when the second one comes in, it is way to loud! tone it down a bit. In my opinion, you wait a little bit too long for the drum beat to come in. I like how you use a fading in bass note to progress the song. Actually, after 1:30 the song becomes pretty good. Keep up the work, but like I said, tone down that synth a little bit.

Dude,

This is amazing. I just love the intro. The melody for the beginning synth is very addicting. The "woah" sound gives a strong affect to the song that makes it even better. I love your choice of instruments, as when the bell comes in, and then the piano fades in. Awesome work, this is the best project I've heard on newgrounds for awhile. Also, the length of this song is perfect, any longer and it would be a little repetitive, and sooner, people would be begging for more. Great work man, I will keep in touch with newer projects.

Awesome

I like the intro, how the song just sort of fades in as time goes on. The melody of the song is really catchy. I like the bass also, it has a good sound and gives the song a more power. The synths that you picked for this song match together decently. There are no flaws, so I give you

:) Thanks

For over a decade, music has been my passion. I've been on Newgrounds since I was 5. That's nearly 20 years! I'll always remember this place as where it all began.
